While China analysis often remains essential to our services also in our geopolitics-focused projects, this consultant role will emphasize the global dimension of our work rather than the narrow China-focus.

Your activities:

1.
Research and analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on a range of topics central to our clients' needs, including geopolitics, trade, global competition, and technology. You will build deep expertise while quickly mastering new topics.

Insight synthesis and communication: Collect, synthesize, and present data clearly. A key focus is storylining, identifying what matters most to the client and delivering it in concise, compelling narratives.
3.
Client communication: You will communicate directly with clients through clear, concise, and well-argued presentations. Understanding client needs and distilling key messages is essential.
4.
Project Management: Take an active role in structuring and managing projects, coordinating workstreams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
5.
Team Collaboration and Development: Actively contribute to team meetings and brainstorming. Sinolytics is built on proactive input and a collaborative spirit that drives our work.

Your skills:

Independent research: Conduct independent research, exploreand find smart ways to uncover the evidence needed. Draw evidence-based andwell-founded conclusions.
Client focus: Always consider how your research findings impact the specific client. Let research and analysis be guided by business and strategic thinking from the client's perspective.
Precision and an eye for detail: Create thought-through,concise text and slides that apply precision in language, attention to detailand rigor in the use of sources.
Story-lining: Develop text and slides with a clear narrative, strong arguments and precise key messages, geared towards action.
Team cooperation: Share ideas actively in project teams and meetings, enrich our internal discussions, and exchange constructive feedback.
Independent time & self-management: Complete your tasks independently and on time. Proactive communication within the project team regarding time management is essential in our fast-paced working environment.
Client interaction: Guided by the respective project lead, you will engage in professional, work-level client communication, including presentations and discussion rounds.

Your profile:

Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, International Relations, Regional Studies or similar; candidates with academic background in relevant technology areas are also welcome to apply).
Demonstrated interest in and a strong understanding of geopolitical dynamics, trends and shifts as well as their implications for business. Expertise on China or other relevant world regions is a strong additional asset.
Excellent command of English (oral and written); native-speaker level or near equivalent. Proficiency in Chinese is valued but not prerequisite for this position.
Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and an openness to integrate AI tools into daily work.
A motivated team player with a can-do attitude and commitment to professionalism.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
If you apply as a senior consultant you should have at least three years of relevant professional experience.
