Before joining Sinolytics, Karl interned at the Beijing office of GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation), where he advised German federal ministries on regulatory and industrial developments and non-tariff barriers impacting the automotive industry in China.
Karl holds an M.A. in Comparative Government from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Freiburg. He also studied Chinese language at Beijing Foreign Studies University, strengthening his ability to analyze China-related policies and trends.
